What I Didn't Wear

As the title suggests, I didn't actually wear this outfit anywhere. But, I did wear this sweater to school today and the button down under the sweater a couple days ago. Soo, I just accumulated my past outfits into this new outfit and threw in the floral shorts for a POP of color.

we're baack

Sorpresa everyone!
And you all thought we died...

In fact, what really happened is at our wonderful feasts of the turkey (because we were not together on Thanksgiving) , at exactly 7 oh 2 p.m., aliens apparated onto our feast tables! Like the hero's we are, we slayed those green beasts- but little did we know that you fall into a deep four day slumber after accomplishing such a feat.

... and that is probably why you thought we died.

WANG BANG

Remember this post when I said you would "shart your pants green with envy"?

Well today is that day!

Constance, meet the readers. Readers, meet five months pay.

Turkey Day Festivities

Thanksgiving has to be one of my favorite holidays. You get together with family you haven't seen in a while, relax, and eat tons of yummy food. I went dressy-casual for dinner at my house and wore a loose, sheer, blouse with extra belly room, of course.

DICKCHICKEN ♥

(dress: H&M, belt: found it in my room, shoes: Forever 21,  jewelry: Mom's)

Foolproof fallback plan over the summer was always heading into Soho. Beside the fact that there are endless stores to discover, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for me not to get lost! Why is it that it's o.k. for Soho to completely derail the chart system used for Manhattan?! I WANT NUMBERS NOT NAMES!

Anyways, I have absolutely no idea who the woman above is, but who wouldn't want their picture with her?
She was QUITE affable and her stand had very cool jewelry. If you manage to find her, check it.

(jacket (draped over bag): Topshop, bag: gift from my aunt, scarf: mom's)

I'm pretty sure the paintings above are meant to convey loss, insecurity but confidence, looking to the future for a better life for their children in this country, the life-long struggle to find your better half, morbid cynicism, but still hopeful that world peace can be attained.

Finishing off with the best kind of graffiti (the kind that you have no chance of getting).

p.s. Can this still count as a daily post if I haven't gone to sleep yet?

Big Lights Will Inspire You

Ventured out to the lower East Side for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it was quite an adventure. It was probably not the best idea to wear too-high-to-walk-in heels when I had no idea where I was going, but alas, I made it home safe and sound.
P.S. This was the night Rebecca and I officially decided we were going to start a blog and the next day we finallly got together and created our beloved, DAILYDUDS.

Craving THIS

As it gets colder, I can't help but miss being on the beach and taking pictures in Costa Rica. I'm there almost every vacation visiting family and its pretty much become my second home. Counting down the days until I go back...

CRAVE THIS

Alright, so I have a slight tendency to get over-dramatic when it comes to shoes,
 but just LOOK AT THESE!

(Ego and Greed- Poland)

Measuring in at 6", I'd say they're just about the perfect (*not-black) shoe to elevate me to my dream height of 5'9".

And oddly enough, seeing Snookie wearing them on Conan only made them MORE appealing!

"... look like a neon highlighter". I could not have said it better myself, Snookie-
KOL HAKAVOD!

(photos: Solestruck)

And considering that they're on sale, I don't think it is so outrageous for me to be hoping to see them in a box with a bow on an upcoming special day (my birthday)... HINT HINT

* Wondering why I said 'not black' 6" heels?
Check back for an unveiling that will make you fashion lovers shart your pants green with envy.

School Blues

I have found my new ditching-gym activity: taking blog pics. Although it is quite awkward when a teacher gives you a strange look when he sees you. But anyway, I was wrapped in my usual layers and ventured out into the cold to bring you said pictures.
P.S. My friend gave me the pin which says "I am loved" in Spanish. Don't I feel special.

little black blog book

And you thought I was kidding.

By trying to get fancy with my editing I distorted the colors a bit. However, green tabs are personal lists, thoughts, etc., and BLUE TABS are pages with anything regarding this blog here.

A few post ideas; some accomplished, some on the way.

An idea worthy of its own page (disregarding the sentence at the top).

Cute little catch-phrases. Expect to see more of them.

Aaaaaaaaaand, no none-outfit post would be complete without a song and therefore,
I present to you the song that has been stuck in my head for the last two days (not that I'm complaining).

Vintage Chanel Scarves: Part Two

As Rebecca already told you, our friend was ever so kind to lend us her mother's vintage Chanel scarves to style in a post, so it's my turn to show you what I did with it.

Way to Wear #1
If you're not feeling too creative, then just wear it as what its meant to be worn as: a scarf. I liked how the ladylike fabric and colors contrasted with my dark grungy outfit and also gave it a more rocker look.

(shirt: dad's PJ shirt; skirt: Forever 21; tights: mom's closet; boots: Forever 21; scarf: Chanel)

Way to Wear #2:
What better way to wear the menswear-for-women trend than to turn your scarf into a jumbo bow tie! The scarf (or should I say bow tie) and a pair of sky high heels are a fun way to dress up your boyfriend jeans.

Way to Wear #3:
If you're feeling silly and don't mind getting some pitiful looks then you can channel your favorite super hero and become a super hero of fashion. All you need is a cape and some crazy eyes and you're good to go. (Cheesy, I know but I was a bit delirious from the extremely long school day)

Way to Wear #4:
Wear the scarf as a belt to make the look more casual

(jacket: mom's closet; shirt: Jenna & Molly; jeans: Target; heels: Forever 21)

Vintage Chanel Scarves: Part I

Once upon a time there was a girl, who had an older sister, who liked to excavate through her mothers' old things.
Well, one day (two weeks ago) this older sister- let's call her Ray- was doing her usual rummaging when
ALL OF A SUDDEN
she found
TWO. VINTAGE. CHANEL. SCARVES.

Brimming with excitement like a cup of fluid at a water cooler convention,
she ran to her younger sister- we'll call her Shay- to share her great finds!
Shay, seeing these scarves, straightaway thought of her two friends Rebecca and Leetal, and their new blog darndailyduds
As fast as her two opposable thumbs could type, she shot over a text with the gracious offer of letting the two use these new-found scarves in a post on darndailyduds

This is that post.

(shirt: Brandy  Melville, jeans: BDG)

Way to Wear #1
Tie to your bag for a subtle pop of color and to get another texture and flow involved for some visual interest.

(briefcase: flea market, scarf: vintage Chanel)

 accessories

(necklace: gift,

bracelets: mom's,

heels: Jeffery Campbell)

Way to Wear #2
Impromptu headscarf!
